Stilwell, Ks- A Busy month.
Fynders Keepers has been keeping busy producing one of a kind custom altars, brassware and preserving unique features from churches that have have liquidated or renovating. Its all about beautifying for the glory of God. We are hoping to bring a since of architectural beauty and a higher place of spirituality through our works. From the custom marble altar and ambo for Hildago Texas or the custom onyx and marble altar for Wharton Texas we have touched quite a few states this month.
Looking into Missouri we have helped create something only a visionary like Fr. Hager could see. We worked side by side creating one of a kind works that helped build a better more beautiful church.
We have also played a part in custom making floor stand lecterns and a larger than life-size statue of Christ the King that resides right outside Christ the King in Mandan, ND.
Lastly, yet to still find a home is a very unique and beautiful 7ft wood structure of the Crucifixion. A stunning beautiful special piece with tremendous possibilities. Thank you to our teams our suppliers and most of all our faithful customers.
O'Fallon Mo- St Barnabas Catholic Church
Thank you to Fr. Hager and the esteemed staff of St Barnabas Catholic Church.
The project started with a beautiful reredos from a church in the east, a pulpit and railing from yet another church and then we custom carved very special statues of St Barnabas, St Louis, Our Lady of Sorrows, St John and a very special Last Supper for the front of the altar. We then custom designed a new front altar and additional central decoration for the antique reredos. We Also custom fabricated and designed side shrines for Our Lady and St Joseph. It was through Fr. Hagers vision that we were able to complete this task. More photos will be complete this transformation in the weeks to come. Stay tuned.

Why buy fiberglass statues? Fiberglass statues are simply a much better product than the plaster predecessor. Plaster had a tendency to expand and contract in the vast unheated and uncooled churches that existed in years past. The new breed of statue in fiberglass does not do that. They are a little stronger so they are easier to ship and cheaper to ship. This does not mean the quality is different. The quality really remains the same. You don't have as much of the blistering, chipping and breaking the old statues had. Its not to say they wouldn't break but they are altogether just a better product. Below are new statues that are made today in the traditional style. That style is coming back. These are domestically made and they carry with them the old world structure. These can be painted in any color pallet you desire and the pricing is less that importing something overseas.
Another benefit to these statues whether you are in Oregon or New York or someplace in-between the cost of shipping these types of statues is quite a bit less than shipping and crating a used plaster statue.
Enjoy the old-world statuary at a price thats affordable. Take a look at our site www.fynderskeepers.com and enjoy searching for that special statue for your sacred space.
Why do we build beautiful churches? A church is meant to be a stepping stone, a glimmer, a wedge into the gates of Heaven. It is meant to separate us from the world not bring us closer to it. Why is this important? Every moment of every day we fight against evil. Our spiritual home has to be much like our own home. Our home services our day to day while our spiritual home services our soul.
A simple change can move mountains in people, their givings and their respect. Its a hospital for our minds and soul. A person never asks why we have to spend so much money making a hospital the way that we do. There are always economical solutions from a simple change in candlesticks, tabernacle or shifting clutter out of the sanctuary.
For Instance St Faustina said, "I know well that the greater and more beautiful the work is, the more terrible will be the storms that rage against it.

North Carolina- We celebrate 17 years in business in just a few short weeks. We would like to think we have made a difference. We hope in some small way we contributed to beautifying the church. We hope we brought a sense of another world to worship spaces around the world. I know life is short. I am reminded about it every day. The milestones in my children. The wrinkles across my face. The population in churches shift, they age. People always yearn to return to their youth. They were happiest then, perhaps. A return to Mom and dad, and the peacefulness of home as we age. The peacefullness of going home to a church that lifted your heart, provided direction in light in a world of darkness. Perhaps to know God a little closer and see a glimpse of heaven and why we really are here. We give God the best of who we are and what we can design and build. We bring beauty out of the worlds resources and refine and craft them into something so pleasing it could bring a tear to ones eye.
There is a calling from the time we are born until the time we die to want more from our spiritual home, a desire. In a world, calling for so much ugliness and hoping to redefine the lines of what is graceful and beautiful is what it does to us. Our church, our home, when our casket is rolled down the isle is to bring the mourners, the widow, the widower, the children to a place closest to God. Have you ever looked at a flower, no matter where it grew and said it was ugly? Our buildings our church is a sliver of heaven, we pry a gap in the dividing lines between heaven and earth with a building that inspires us to do so. Its our stairway our glimpse into heaven. Its our goal to make our churches beautiful with inspired duty to create things economical.
We at Fynders Keepers like to think we do our best to do just that. Provide a craft thats hard to find and at the best price. We would love to hear from you on your project. 913.871.6444.
