Why do we build beautiful churches? A church is meant to be a stepping stone, a glimmer, a wedge into the gates of Heaven. It is meant to separate us from the world not bring us closer to it. Why is this important? Every moment of every day we fight against evil. Our spiritual home has to be much like our own home. Our home services our day to day while our spiritual home services our soul.
A simple change can move mountains in people, their givings and their respect. Its a hospital for our minds and soul. A person never asks why we have to spend so much money making a hospital the way that we do. There are always economical solutions from a simple change in candlesticks, tabernacle or shifting clutter out of the sanctuary.
